Nearly all BLE General Chairmen gathered in St. Louis on March 26 for an update on the situation between the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and United Transportation Union.
BLE President Clarence Monin presided over the meeting and gave an update on current discussion between the two organizations, which are exploring the possibility of forming a new labor union together.
The meeting took place six months before a unification agreement and constitution and bylaws are to be mailed to the members of both organizations. Each member will then vote to approve or accept the new organization.
This page is a photographic recap of the St. Louis meeting.
