SWCM awards $25,000 in scholarships for 2000
The BLE's Southwestern Convention Meeting awarded 25 scholarships at its meeting in St. Louis on September 22, 2000, reports SWCM Scholarship Committee Chairman Leo Srubas.
These deserving scholarship winners are pictured above, except for Angela K. Dorrell, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Dorrell, Division 75, Liberty, Mo. She is attending Southwest Missouri State.
Those interested in applying for a 2001 scholarship should note that application forms must be postmarked by the August 25, 2001 deadline in order to be accepted.
Applicants must be the child of an active, retired or deceased BLE member whose division belongs to the Southwestern Convention Meeting.
Applicants must also be accepted for admission to an accredited college, university or institution of higher learning.
This year, the 66th annual BLE-GIA SWCM is September 9-14 in Overland Park, Kan.
