Get Cooking with the GIA

The BLE's Grand International Auxiliary is gathering recipes to publish in a railroader's cookbook.

The GIA is actively seeking input from all areas of the U.S. and Canada in order to compile a cookbook that reflects the widest range of regional cuisine possible. The GIA is also counting on locomotive engineers to contribute recipes for "on the engine cooking," which will be included in a section of the cookbook highlighting sidewall cooking and dishes that travel well on trains.

The GIA would also like to receive interesting and/or humorous stories about food, eating, and meals as they relate to life on the railroad. Please send all recipes to:
